Vattenfall InCharge currently operates more than 40.000 chargepoints in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. And our network is growing every day. With a volume over 100 million euro per year, we are one of the biggest investors in EV-Infrastructure in Europe. Our propositions are targetting both private as well as (semi-)pubic customers. We operate at business locations and a wide variety of municipalities and cities in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Our business is based upon long term contracts that bring significant financial commitments. Your role as Specialist Business Valuation In our international support team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining economic valuation models which are being used by senior management of Vattenfall to make long term commercial decisions. You will work in deal teams, mainly existing of tender managers, account managers, technical specialists, marketeers, lawyers and other relevant professionals. Your responsibility is to quantify business cases, according to general accepted methodologies and group instructions, aiming at transparancy and consistency (in time and across markets). You will challenge sales and development departments on proposed assumptions for financial modelling. Key-metrics for Vattenfall are NPV, VIR and IRR. We are gradually introducing elements real option theory into our practice, aiming at dynamic optimization of our infrastructure roll-out and use. Your work will also be used to support the BU business planning and you will work on Post Investment Reviews. Occasionally, you will participate in M&A Projects. Furthermore, you will provide standard tools for standard deals. And you will contribute to our standard assumptions book. You will work closely together with other specialists, such as for example our Pricing Manager, Controllers and Auditers. We see you being based in our brand new office in Berlin or Stockholm. We offer part-time work-from-home flexibility. Regular travels are expected. The Specialist Business Valuation will report into the Manager Governance and Support of Business Unit E-Mobility. Qualifications Your profile In our InCharge unit you are successful when you are active, open, positive and hands-on! Furthermore you match the following requirements: A degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Professional certification in business valuation such as ASA or CFA is an advantage.
3 - 5 years of relevant experience in business valuation or financial analysis, preferably in a corporate environment. Experience in M&A or investment banking is an advantage.
Advanced skills in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, discounted cash flow analysis, and other relevant analytical tools. Experience with real option theory is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications (Power BI, Phyton and Powerpoint) is a must.
Good understanding of the energy sector and preferably experience in the electric vehicle or e-mobility industry. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations is an advantage
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as they will be required to identify and challenge assumptions, evaluate risks and opportunities, and make sound recommendations based on data analysis.
You work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other professionals such as tender managers, account managers, technical specialists, marketeers, lawyers, pricing managers, controllers, and auditors.
You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines. Willingness to travel is expected.
You are detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial modelling and reporting.
