The tax rules and company optimisation approach are driving towards digital tax reporting Tax authorities are increasing their focus upon accessing systems for tax analytics and this is becoming part of a central tax risk compliance focus The challenge is to prepare and submit all the administrative tax filings Only a fearless Senior Financial Controller won’t get lost among all the requirements. What you’ll be doing
Managing all aspects of the Company’s worldwide statutory and consolidated income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures under IFRS and IFRS 102. Explain and discuss these items with senior management and independent auditorsManaging the global income tax compliance effort in 30+ countriesConducting analysis and documentation for tax reservesOn a quarterly basis, preparing & updating the forecast Effective Tax Rate ("ETR") calculation to determine ETR to be applied to reported profitsAt year-end, working with country finance teams to ensure that their tax reporting is accurate & submitted on timeReviewing key country tax submissions & consolidate them, as well as reviewing consolidation journals to ensure they are appropriately tax effectedPreparing tax-related disclosures in annual reportEnsuring Company’s income tax accounting review and documentation processes and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements, driving towards a best-in-class SOX infrastructureWorking proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters to ensure proper accounting and disclosure along with the preparation and review of the accounting memos as appropriateDrafting financial statements and disclosures including but not limited to tax accounting impacts to equity, income and non-income taxes and statement of cash flows. Manage financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory reporting obligationsManaging and mentor staff, encouraging a collaborative team atmosphereWhat you'll need
University Qualified with emphasis in Accounting. Chartered Accountant qualification preferredMinimum of 15 years of Tax Accounting and Provision experience at multinational listed companies and/or Big 4 Accounting FirmsStrong knowledge of IAS12 concepts and experience with financial statement reportingStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with highly experienced business and tax professionals in a start-up atmosphereSelf-starter with problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to work independently with a high level of initiative and judgement.Flexible mindset and willingness to embrace changeProven ability to identify and manage tax risksBenefits at Revolut
