Your mission
You customise Abletons tax and corporate strategies, both preventive and curative, to help achieve optimum tax governance and risk management. Through your experience and innovative mindset you contribute to the uniqueness of Ableton, providing practical solutions for both business and regulatory compliance. You are key to building strong and lasting partnerships, in and out the Global Tax Group, through a responsive, ethical and professional service.
You are part of a team of tax professionals within a larger globally distributed finance domain, reporting directly to the Global Head of Tax. Your primary responsibility will be to support with German reporting obligations and initiatives that create and protect tax value for Ableton. You will also ensure all statutory tax obligations are met on time in Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
This position is based in either Germany, UK, Spain or Netherlands. We offer the option to choose your own work model: alternate as you wish between remote and on-site in the office.
Your responsibilities
You ensure compliance with all tax obligations including, but not limited to, corporate tax, dividend withholding tax and withholding taxes on cross-border payments, dedicated to the key attributes associated with the German taxation of domestic and international operations You support finance projects (supply chain, global employment and international personnel assignments) by advising on the specific German and European tax aspects You monitor and manage items which may lead to uncertain tax provisions or exposures You supervise and collaborate with tax advisors to balance the interest of Ableton with the welfare of our stakeholders, clients and the broader music community You negotiate audit settlements consistent with Ableton’s overall strategy and purpose You assist with special projects including consultation and support on tax policies and procedures, to support tax and other cross-functional initiatives where appropriate You monitor and advise leadership on the impacts of the proposed German and related country subsidiaries tax legislation Your profile
You have a bachelor degree in accounting or a graduate degree in tax or law You have approximately 3 to 4 years of experience with German tax compliance and / or a high-level overview of other international aspects of taxation You are comfortable in a dynamic, inclusive and diverse team, who value adaptability and developing strong relationship You are eager to help the Finance Team make a real difference to our stakeholders and clients, and grow our practice You are comfortable working in English and German, both written and spoken Your application
